Pakistan: Sardar Ali Shah, the Sindh Minister for Culture and Antiquities demanded an apology from a film maker. Apparently, he was not happy with the way Ashutosh Gowarikar has presented the distorted version of history.
It is not only the dismal show of the epic drama but the maker of Mohenjo Daro has also to bother with an apology demand from a Pakistani minister. As per a report in the ‘Dawn’, Shah is upset after watching the movie which has no hints of facts.
The minister said that the movie was the result of the maker’s ‘figments of imagination’. As Mohenjo Daro is in the list of heritage sites of UNESCO, he was miffed with the director for not giving facts about the 5000 year-old civilization. He will soon convey Sindh’s reaction to the maker of the movie.
However the Pakistani minister is not the only one to react, Gowarikar could not appease the native viewers as well. After the first glance of its trailer they started criticizing the movie.
Released on August 12 the movie also marks the debut of Pooja Hegde. Apart from her, the star cast includes Hrithik Roshan, Kabir bedi and Arunodaya Singh in Important role. The film brings back the story of Indus Valley civilization of 2,600 BC.
Attempting a period drama on the silver screen is really an uphill task. But the movie could not show its magic on the box office as it failed to mint maximum money after its release.
