Hyderabad: Govt lands in Hyderabad have safety issue, officers requested Telangana Govt to release funds for fencing the land.
Government lands don’t have security and officers also don’t care about this. Some of the people occupied Govt property illegally and revenue officers kept silent. Earlier, officers planned to build compound walls to protect Government lands but it didn’t work out due to lack of funds.
Rangareddy district has 25 acres of Govt land in which some people occupied a part illegally, some part has court issues and to protect remaining land, revenue officers don’t have enough funds. They are unable to build fencing at least; collector also appealed Govt but they didn’t care. Shaikpet, Khairathabad, Asifnagar have Government lands valued in Crores.
Only 3 Cr released out of 9 Cr
Officers told about Govt lands security to Deputy CM and Revenue Minister in meeting at collector office on April 25. And they also appealed to fund Rs. 9 Cr but received Rs. 3 Cr till date. This amount is not enough to finish the work and they requested to release the remaining amount. Deputy CM responded to officers’ request and said that they will do it in a week. 25 days passed but no response came from Govt side.
Govt proposed building new Collector offices in Telangana but it is not applicable to Hyderabad. Officers also requested CM to build new collector office but they didn’t get any response. Current collector office is old one and there is a chance to collapse in this rainy season. Staff and people urged Govt to take an action soon.
