Mulkanoor: Mulkanoor Co-operative Bank set to provide good quality rice paddy to farmers. They supply seeds to 4 lakh acres of land.
Mulkanoor Co-operative Bank aimed to sell 1.20 lakh quintals paddy seeds in this kharif season. They released 30 thousand quintals of seeds in the market. Actually, Co-operative Bank started seeds preparation in 1975. At first, they supplied those seeds for the members of that bank but now they set to supply all over Telangana. Every year they set to supply lakhs of quintal and also got profit in Crores.
Earlier, they bought seeds from Government research center and sold to farmers as foundation seeds. And the foundation officers along with bank Agricultural officers checked the crop many times for adulterated seeds, hence they didn’t buy seeds. Later they started seeds production factory and received high demand in Telangana.
Currently, they have seven branches in the State. Officers said that they use very advanced machines to purify seeds. The machines have a capacity of produce 2 tons of seeds for every one hour at Bhimadevara Pally and Kothapally. Ratnagiri and Mulkanoor factories have 3 tons production capacity machines for every one hour.
Business worth Rs. 40 Cr
Mulkanuru Bank has sold seeds worth Rs. 40 Cr every year and supplies seeds for 4 lakh acres all over Telangana. From 40 years on-wards this bank sold seeds and no one complaints about seeds quality. Researchers also said that the seeds are prepared in high quality. They said that the bank has changed the fate of a farmer with good quality seeds and appreciated them for their work.
