Siddipet mandal, Medak district’s Ibrahimpur village has made the state and its residence proud again. The village got prestigious Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Award for its development, cleanliness and stood as an icon for inspiration.

Award presentation in Lucknow

Officials confirmed that this prestigious will be presents on April 24 at National Panchayati Raj Day celebrations. The Prime Minister’s Office expected to present the award in Lucknow. It has many days Harish Rao adopted the village and took part in development work. The local MLA Harish Rao praised and congratulated all the people here for getting such a prestigious award.

Going deeper, Ibrahimpur started many things first and got good name, fame in the state. In December 2016, Siddipet Assembly constituency also declared that this is the first cashless village in complete South India.

Local people said that they do all transactions cashless in village. The district administration planned well and arranged swipe machines at general stores, micro ATMs at ration shops. They also opened bank accounts and issued debit cards for each and every person.

Moreover, this is the first village to become mosquito-free in our state. The villagers felt happy and also started celebrations for getting the most prestigious award.
