Hyderabad’s GHMC Started Voter List Revision


Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation officials set to revise the voter list the city soon. Team urges support from people and political parties.

Hyderabad Voters List Revision

GHMC set to start its work of revising voter list soon in the city. The Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr B Janardhan Reddy in a press meet requested all the people, political party leaders to support them. On Tuesday, the GHMC officials conducted a meeting with party leaders regarding the voter list corrections. Everyone attended the meeting and they promised for extreme support.

After the meeting, Janardhan Reddy spoke to media and GHMC staff will visit each and every house in the city for checking details. They set to check the voter’s presence and issue new house number. People expected to get new voter cards with current address and updated details.

In addition, the voters can change their photo with latest one; he said to apply form-8 again for updating photo. The officials also issued some dates for amendment of comprehensive voter list.

Final voter list in August

April 1 to 30, 2017 allotted for house numbers amendment, rationalization of polling booths and GIS Mapping of polling stations. The officials set to visit houses and examine the voter list before June 30, 2017 and draft voter list expected on July 5 of this year.

GHMC expected to receive objections from June 5 to 20 and amendment will be done before July 31. Data updates, final voter list expected before August 15, 2017 whereas voter list official announcement will be on August 31, 2017.
